Hi! happy you've come across my blog. So about me. I am a Latina with Salvadorian blood running through my veins. I was born with the foundation of Judaisim which has a tremendous influence on the way I see life. I was born and raised in Southern California in the city of Inglewood until about 11 and moved to Compton and have been inspired by my city ever since. Throughout my life I've quenched my curiosity by diving into the lives of the people who had a different upbringings than mine. Whether friends, classmates, or coworkers, I'd enjoy the pieces of culture attached to them and learned so much through those experiences. I have a love for photography and emphasize in taking portraits to accentuate the beauty in every person I come across with. This blog will be the exploration in my path of photography within advertising, whether photographing people or merchandise.
Back to me, a characteristic that I have that coincides with photography is that I simply enjoy the essence of people. Everyone has this unique attribute about them and I enjoy finding what exactly that is. Once I understand a person, and I know their personality, then I shoot pictures with the knowledge of them. It has made my photography level up once I paid attention to the little details.
Photography has been my creative outlet for many years. I experimented with the camera throughout the years.I took pictures of my friends until they grew tired of me. They have been the best supporters of my journey and have been a part of my growth in my creative eye. In the last two years, I focused on training myself in photography and taking on jobs that would help my speed and push my creativity to it’s limits in each project I took on. When they tell you, that you gain the most knowledge by jumping into a job has proven itself time and time again. As a photographer, you notice the areas you personally need to work on as you go throughout. In a project you start creating these side notes in your head of what needs work.
